The keel laying ceremony of GHASHA

NMDC in cooperation with Royal IHC reaches another milestone with the keel laying ceremony of GHASHA, the second custom-build trailing suction hopper dredger having the capacity of 8000 m3. A combination of higher maneuverability, power and new innovations makes GHASHA a new benchmark in the dredging industry. Our strategic partner Royal IHC Shipyard is working for the development of a new standard in marine aggregate dredging. A satisfying progress which NMDC has witnessed over the years and in particular to be present at the genesis of GHASHA. Another milestone in the history of NMDC as GHASHA will be a part of our international growth and fleet investment strategy, which is aimed at positioning the company as a leader in the industry. NMDC’s drive to innovate and focus on sustainability is reflected in the company’s fleet investment program. NMDC willingness to incorporate high added-value equipment and vessels to its fleet has earned it a reputation of excellence within the country and outside.  This has enabled NMDC to enter new lines of business by pushing back the boundaries and working on improving its core fleet of dredgers. The GHASHA is designed with an integrated system, unrivaled power and high standard of dredging equipment on board, a future-proof vessel for long-lasting durability for operations.
