Project Description

The Hail and Ghasha development Project is of strategic importance to AbuDhabi,UAE. The production and transfer of gas and condensate from the Hail and Ghasha feilds is planned for use in power generation and other domestic gas markets. The Hail and Ghasha feilds are situated offshore AbuDhabi in water depths varying from 0 to 15m. ADNOC has decided that artificial island will be used for the drilling of wells and supporting production facilities and for an offshore operations and maintenance base. The project consists of construction of eleven artificial islands in Hail and Ghasha fields, butinah jetty, butinah center building and navigation channels that provide safe access to these islands.


Scope of Work

- Dredging of channels & basins: 5 million m3

- Trenching: 500,000 m3

- Reclamation with soil improvment: 26.7 million m3

- Rockworks: 22.40 million tons, 12.10 million m3

- Quay Walls: L= 3,360 m Blocks= 12,800 nos Concrete= 255,000 m3

- Steel Piles: L= 15.9m-33.7m, 244 nos, Dia. 610mm-1524mm

- GRP pipes ( culvert): L= 12.0m & 18.0m, 1092 nos, Dia. 1800 mm - 2800 mm

- AIDS to Navigation: Demarcation= 54 nos, cardinal= 22 nos, Lantem= 89 nos

- Butinah Jetty: L=316.75 m,

- Butinah new center building (precast): W= 15.0 m, L=25.4 m, H=6.73m
